Vector Laboratories Expands Executive Team with Two New Hires

NEWARK, Calif.

Diverse and deep financial and commercial experience will help lead Vector Laboratories’ ongoing expansion strategy

Vector Laboratories, the pioneer of innovative proteomic and glycomic solutions, today announced that Vatea Herman, CPA and Kenny Drew, MS joined the Executive Team as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President, Commercial, respectively.

Ms. Herman joined Vector Laboratories earlier in 2022 as Interim Chief Financial Officer. A licensed CPA with more than 20 years’ experience, she most recently consulted with several start-up companies to provide both finance and accounting expertise. Prior to that, Ms. Herman worked at global public accounting firm KPMG where she gained extensive knowledge and experience through auditing companies in various industries. In her role as Chief Financial Officer for Vector Laboratories she will accelerate the company’s vision to expand through M&A while investing for organic growth.

Mr. Drew’s career began in research as a Research Scientist for Bristol Myers Squibb and later as a Field Applications Specialist for Thermo Fisher Scientific. Kenny went on to expand his sales experience at Beckman Coulter and then Tecan, transitioning into roles of increasing responsibility, including management of a sales team. Kenny then transitioned into smaller organizations, first serving as the Americas leader at Advanced Instruments and then as Vice President of Sales at IsoPlexis.

“VP, Commercial is a newly created role that will bring together our Marketing, Sales and Commercial Operations teams under Kenny’s leadership,” said Dr. Sellers. His sales expertise with over 18 years of experience in both large and smaller companies, within the Life Science industry, is the ideal combination for us to apply best practices and key performance indictors across our commercial activities, while being nimble as the organization and company grows.
