Job Description

The Director, Program Management, reporting to the Vice President, Product, will work with internal and external partners to ensure new product development programs are executed to agreed upon timelines. Participates early in partnership negotiations to establish appropriate milestones with high probability of successful execution.  Uses fundamental understanding of the partnership’s value proposition and structure to ensure the outcome satisfies the intention. In this hands-on role, the Director will bring teams together and ensure program success through a combination of leadership abilities, exceptional communication, budgeting, and time management skills. This role is critical to achieving Vector’s goal of becoming the leader in Glycobiology. This is a role with broad responsibilities and requires clear vision and leadership to execute while preserving and strengthening Vector’s exceptional culture of collaboration, respect, and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees programs from concept through completion and manages the day-to-day project management activities including establishment and oversight of timelines and budgets
  • Acts as a liaison with external partners to maintain productive relationships and deliver to established milestones

This role will be a key member of our Manufacturing Science and Technology team, which is responsible for scale-up and sustaining activities of our biomolecule reagent products. This individual will partner with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance to scale-up existing products, sustain and support manufacturing technical issues. This individual will also be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of manufacturing equipment.

The Manufacturing Technician I will spend time putting bulk reagents into final container bottles and preparing kits of multiple reagents. This includes: obtaining bulk reagents from production; printing bottle/container labels; allocating reagent into containers; assembling containers; capping containers; packaging multiple reagents into a single container and placing finished product into inventory.
