Job Description

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Commercial Leader is responsible for the development, planning and execution of commercial strategy for Vector Laboratories, Inc. As a key member of the executive team, the Commercial Leader will direct the following functions: Market Development, Brand and Marketing Communication, Commercial Operations, Customer Service, Technical Support, Distributor management and Sales. The Commercial Leader will be responsible for developing a multi-year commercial strategic plan and the implementation of that plan through a commercial operating plan. Responsibilities

  • Based on business objectives, evolve the commercial team to achieve financial objectives, including expansion of existing functions and introduction of new functions within the Commercial organization

Customer Service Representative I

Job Description

Vector Laboratories is actively responding to the COVID-19 pandemic through vaccine and diagnostic programs.

Vector Laboratories is looking for a Customer Service Representative who will be responsible for acting as a liaison between customers and Vector Laboratories, and accurately processing customer orders via email, phone, and fax via NetSuite MRP system. They will also be responsible for answering phones, providing product/services information, escalating emerging problems that customers might face with accuracy and efficiency, along with miscellaneous office tasks.

Manager, Process Engineering

Job Description

Vector Laboratories, a leading life science company in the Bay area, is seeking a Manager, Process Engineering to join our team. This role will be a key member of our Manufacturing Science and Technology team, which is responsible for scale-up and sustaining activities of our biomolecule reagent products. This individual will partner with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance to scale-up existing products, sustain and support manufacturing technical issues. This individual will also be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of manufacturing equipment.

  • Lead and support, as part of the team, scale-up activities related to manufacture of large biomolecules, focusing on proteins and carbohydrates

Manufacturing Technician I

Job Description

Vector Laboratories is seeking a Manufacturing Technician I to join our growing team. The Manufacturing Technician I will spend time putting bulk reagents into final container bottles and preparing kits of multiple reagents. This includes: obtaining bulk reagents from production; printing bottle/container labels; allocating reagent into containers; assembling containers; capping containers; packaging multiple reagents into a single container and placing finished product into inventory.

Sr. QA Specialist

Job Description

Vector Laboratories is actively responding to the COVID-19 pandemic through vaccine and diagnostic programs.

Working as part of the Quality Assurance team, you will use your training and skills towards the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System and ensuring compliance with applicable domestic and international standards and regulations.  The qualified individual will be responsible for validation, supplier management, change control and will support other quality system processes.  This is a highly visible, hands on position that must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage supplier quality, including supplier qualification, quality agreements, maintain approved supplier list (ASL), etc.
  • Manage overall validation program, including equipment, computerized systems, processes and test methods. Collaborate with owners to develop and execute protocols.
  • Manage change control process.
  • Provide training in ISO requirements and quality procedures.
  • Assist in internal and external audits, including customer audits.

Qualifications

  • BS Degree in scientific discipline.
  • Quality professional with a minimum of 3 years in a quality role in a life science industry. 
  • Requires knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, 21 CFR 820, or 21 CFR 211.
  • Auditing experience in quality assurance requirements.
  • Knowledge of equipment, processes, test method validations; or computer system validations a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with NetSuite ERP and MasterControl a plus.

Technical Support Specialist

Job Description

Vector Laboratories is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to join our growing team. The Technical Support Specialist’s primary responsibility will be to provide product and application expertise, insight and troubleshooting assistance for all Vector Laboratories’ reagents to researchers across the life sciences fields and to our distributors worldwide. Also, as a member of the commercial team, the Technical Support Specialist will help in the generation of technical material and marketing content to support promotional activities and campaigns, as well as represent the company at conferences, meetings and vendor shows as required.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, a creative thinker and a problem solver who enjoys direct interaction with people. He/she will be a team player with strong communication, organizational, and time management skills. Previous experience in a technical support role in a life science company would be beneficial.

  • Knowledge of the global life science reagent market and products.
  • Ability to work independently, and as part of a group, to accomplish department and company-wide objectives.

  • Previous technical support experience is a plus.
