Job Description

Vector Laboratories is a collaborative & diverse company that is continually improving ourselves. We are looking for a Commercial Operations Specialist. This is an essential role to support our Commercial & C-Suite Teams. The ideal candidate will be able to manage our data across multiple systems, along with providing reporting across cross-functional teams. They will be a point of contact for our B2B clients who need updated documentation such as catalogs or marketing documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper data hygiene, removing duplicate entries, ensuring consistency across systems such as Salesfore (SFDC), NetSuite, Tableau, and our website.
  • Responsible for working with clients who have login or usage problems on our website; pass feedback to internal teams.
  • Troubleshoot import issues to the various business systems.
  • Responsible for providing order & revenue data to direct Manager for analysis and forecasting.
  • Provide Commercial & C-Suite team with needed reporting. Scope & create new reports as needed.
  • Manage B2B catalogs. Maintain catalog data in SFDC for ease of Catalog file creation.
  • Manage business needs of our Distribution clients, such as catalog updates or marketing material.
  • SFDC maintenance; work directly with SFDC partner on basic updates for the system based on requests from Commercial or Finance team members. Escalate requests to direct Manager for approval. Provide requirements to direct Manager for larger system updates.

Qualifications

Customer Service Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a working Customer Service Manager to manage the activities and employees on our Customer Service team. The Manager will lead the daily workflow and activities, along with being an individual contributor. They will model best practice policies, run status meetings, track KPIs, manage their own stable of orders, and work with external departments to provide white glove service to our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Inspire, motivate, direct, and develop the Customer Service team.
  • Make it easy for our clients to do business with us.
  • Work with Senior Leadership and Vector internal teams to provide our clients with white glove, best practices service.
  • Lead initiatives to ensure exceptional customer experience.
  • Manage complex and escalated customer complaints and service issues.
  • Provide guidance and oversee activities of the Customer Service team, helping to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment. Ensure Company and team standards are met or exceeded by the Customer Service team.
  • Track team KPIs, ensure proper handling of complaint issues, and determine Service Level Recovery activities (such as refunds, exchanges, and/or company credits).

Discuss pain points, and collaborate on ideas to do better moving forward. Work with the team to find and use their authentic voice with our clients.
  • Keep in sync with industry best practices and improvements.
  • Handle the most difficult Customer Service responsibilities, as well as work on daily workflow to ensure its timely completion.
  • Develop thorough product knowledge, and transfer that information to the team.
  • Manage new hire training.
  • Interact with customers by phone, email and/or in person to receive orders, cancellations, and changes for products, or to clarify needs/requirements.

Director, Corporate Business Development

Job Description

Vector Laboratories is actively responding to the COVID-19 pandemic through vaccine and diagnostic programs.

The Director, Corporate Business Development, reporting to the Vice President, Product, will work closely with Finance, Product Management, Research and Development and Program Management to successfully develop and execute the Glycobiology product portfolio strategy. This requires a deep understanding of the market needs, customer needs and technology solutions, and the ability to close internal product development technology gaps through external partnerships. The director will also engage commercial partners to accelerate the use of Vector’s glycobiology products on proteomics platforms. The Director will develop revenue goals and supporting business cases and clearly communicate external partnership opportunities for approval and prioritization by the executive team. The Director will own partnership negotiations, structure and agreements and, in partnership with Program Management, ensure on-time execution to established milestones. The Director is passionate about developing the strategy for the Glycobiology portfolio as well as effective in tactical execution of that strategy. This is a role with broad responsibilities and requires clear vision and leadership to execute while preserving and strengthening Vector’s exceptional culture of collaboration, respect, and accountability.

Quality Engineer

Job Description

Vector Laboratories is actively responding to the COVID-19 pandemic through vaccine and diagnostic programs.

Vector laboratories designs, develops, manufactures, and distributes protein visualization and detection reagents for research use. As part of the Quality Assurance Department, our team will be responsible for QMS implementation and compliance. The Quality Engineer, reporting to the head of quality assurance, will work closely with R&D, Purchasing, Operations and Customer Service to improve processes, investigate and resolve non-conformances and support the day-to-day activities of our QMS. While this role will have primary duties of ownership of equipment and process implementation, improvement and change control, other duties include daily quality assurance activities such as document control and batch record review and release.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee manufacturing-critical equipment control, including documentation for equipment onboarding, Calibration / PM, and status changes. 
  • Work closely with Manufacturing Engineers to support Equipment and Process Validation, including independent review/compliance check for validation protocols, regarding appropriate requirements, methods, test/statistic methodologies, and verification of the equipment’s performance in intended use. 
  • Track NCM/CAPA and Complaint Investigation, including overseeing investigations of root cause, troubleshooting and corrective and preventive measure implementation to ensure products consistently meet established quality standards. 
  • Review batch records and authorize product release in ERP (NetSuite). 
  • Create, revise, and process Document Change in Master Control 
  • Maintain quality standards, develop QMS Processes and ensure implementation compliant to company’s SOPs and quality standard. 
  • Support the supplier selection and qualification process with supplier audits, as well as Supplier Performance Monitoring and Corrective Action Reports. 
  • Support internal QMS Audits and Gemba Walk 
  • Track Quality Metrics and Functional’s KPIs. Prepare status summary reports to evaluate QMS effectiveness. 
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.
