dPEG®₁₂-diol (QBD-10261)

[text-backorder]

Description

dPEG®12-diol, product number QBD-10261, is a homobifunctional, monodispersed (single molecular weight and chain length) PEG diol that is useful for creating new PEG products. Both ends terminate with hydroxy groups. The primary use of this product is as a building block for other products. An unlimited number of functional or protecting groups can modify the termini of dPEG®12-diol. Moreover, dPEG®12-diol can function as a crosslinker by reacting the terminal alcohols with active carboxylic acid esters or isothiocyanates. Conjugates containing PEG have increased hydrodynamic volume and hydrophilicity.

Storage and handling-20°C; Always let come to room temperature before opening; be careful to limit exposure to moisture and restore under an inert atmosphere; stock solutions can be prepared with dry solvent and kept for several days (freeze when not in use). dPEG® pegylation compounds are generally hygroscopic and should be treated as such. This will be less noticeable with liquids, but the solids will become tacky and difficult to manipulate, if care is not taken to minimize air exposure.
