Unconjugated Lectins are naturally occurring carbohydrate-binding proteins that are not covalently linked to any detectable labels, such as fluorophores or biotin. These lectins retain their ability to specifically bind to certain glycan structures on cell surfaces, glycoproteins, or other carbohydrate-containing biomolecules.
Unconjugated lectins are commonly used in glycan analysis to study carbohydrate interactions, map glycan profiles, or perform affinity purification of glycoproteins.
