VECTABOND Reagent, Tissue Section Adhesion

The VECTABOND® Reagent for Tissue Section Adhesion is designed to significantly increase the adherence of both frozen and paraffin-embedded tissue sections and cell preparations to glass slides and coverslips. It chemically modifies the surface of the glass with positive charges to form a highly adherent surface.

Features:

• Tissues remain attached even under extreme conditions such as high temperature antigen unmasking techniques and in situ hybridization
• VECTABOND Reagent treated slides can be stored for long periods
• 7 ml concentrate dilutes to 350 ml
• Treats at least 500 standard slides

Product FAQs

VECTABOND Reagent is supplied as a 7 ml concentrate that is diluted in acetone immediately prior to use. Once diluted in acetone, as per the instructions for use, it is recommended that the working solution be used as soon as possible. Storage of this working solution is not practical beyond a few hours as the chemicals will start to break down and the solution will turn a yellowish color. Once this has happened, slide coating will not be optimal and the working solution should be discarded.
