Nucleic acid probes are frequently labeled with digoxigenin (DIG), a steroid found in plants. This is particularly common in double-label in situ hybridization applications with a biotin-labeled probe. DIG-labeled probes can be visualized using our high affinity, purified antibody against digoxigenin/digoxin.

Digoxigenin (DIG) is a small plant-derived molecule not found in animals. DIG is used to label nucleic acid probes for applications such as in situ hybridization. DIG-labeled probes are detected with antibodies specifically directed against the DIG label. We have generated high affinity and highly purified antibodies for this purpose. The unconjugated anti-DIG antibody can be used to detect DIG-labeled probes employing labeled anti-goat antibodies or our ImmPRESS® Anti-Goat detection systems.
