DOTA
DOTA (1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane-1,4,7,10-tetraacetic acid) is a macrocyclic chelator widely used for binding metal radionuclides such as ^64Cu, ^68Ga, ^177Lu, and ^111In with high stability and specificity. In payload delivery applications, DOTA enables the secure attachment of radiometals to biomolecules like antibodies, peptides, or nanoparticles for use in nuclear imaging (PET/SPECT) and targeted radiotherapy. Its robust coordination chemistry and compatibility with biological systems make DOTA a gold-standard chelator in radiopharmaceutical development.
