Alkyne-modified protein capture
Alkyne-Modified Protein Capture using streptavidin-based enrichment involves the selective isolation of proteins that have been labeled with alkyne-functional groups through bioorthogonal Click Chemistry.
These alkyne-tagged proteins undergo a copper-catalyzed azide–alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) with azide-biotin reagents, allowing subsequent capture and purification via streptavidin-coated beads or surfaces. This method provides high specificity and sensitivity for studying post-translational modifications, protein–protein interactions, and labeling in complex biological samples.
