“Finding the Man in the Moon – Visualising the Inactive X in the Nucleus” – Novel dual-colour-pulse-chase labelling of Xist RNA visualises the inactive X chromosome in mouse embryonic stem cells, while DAPI staining was used to visualise the underlying chromatin. The image was taken using 3D structured illumination microscopy at Micron Oxford, using VECTASHIELD Mounting Medium for Fluorescence.
