Mixed cortical cultures (21 days in vitro) were used for immunocytochemistry and subsequent super-resolution imaging (direct stochastic optical econstruction microscopy; dSTORM). The nanoscopic localisation of bassoon (red) and Homer1 (green) was revealed using a Vutara 350 commercial microscope (Bruker).
