AZDye 405 Gly-Gly-Gly
Water-soluble, substrate for sortase mediated labeling of proteins. Sortase catalyzes a transpeptidase reaction between a specific internal sequence of a protein and an amine group present on the N-terminus of triglycine recently has become an area of great interest. This method of labeling proteins has been denoted as “Sortagging”.
AZDye™ 405 is a water-soluble, pH-insensitive from pH 4 to pH 10, blue-fluorescent probe with excitation ideally suited for the 407 nm spectral line of the krypton laser or the 408 nm violet laser diode. AZDye™ 405 is often used in multicolor applications, including flow cytometry and super-resolution microscopy using STORM.
