Strengthening Communities
At Vector Laboratories, our commitment to our community goes beyond the lab. By actively volunteering and partnering with local environmental and social nonprofit organizations, we hope to support those around us, fostering relationships that will create long lasting positive change in our community and the world.





















Below, please find a list of several of the local organizations we support. Learn more about their missions and how you can get involved at their respective links.

Salvation Army Silicon Valley Food Pantry
The Food Pantry Distribution Program provides food to Seniors, Homeless and Families. Assistance in this program has more than doubled (since 2019, due to COVID), as more people faced job loss, reduction in working hours and/or increased costs for food, rent and other needs.

Ohlone Humane Society
The Ohlone Humane Society works on behalf of local animals and animal lovers, encouraging humane treatment, respect, and compassion for all living creatures. Vector Laboratories employees recently partnered with the organization, helping to package food into appropriate portions so community members could easily receive and transport the food they need for their pets.

Alameda County Community Food Bank
The Alameda County Community Food Bank delivers millions of meals every year. Partnering with local food pantries, collage pantries, and schools, they help those living with food insecurity by offering free food, educational programs, and multilingual assistance with CalFresh program enrollment. Their advocacy programs work with all levels of the government to work towards ending poverty and inequity based on their belief that food is a basic human right.

Fertile Groundworks
Fertile GroundWorks is a non-profit with the mission to encourage, empower, and teach individuals and communities to grow healthy, nutritious food, organically and sustainably. The produce from their educational garden is given to local community kitchens and food pantries to help them feed those in need.

Fremont Family Resource Center
The Fremont Family Resource Center (FRC) is a welcoming place where families and individuals are nurtured, encouraged, and provided quality services to build on their own strengths to help themselves and others. An unexpected personal crisis can hit anyone, anytime and trigger a cascade of needs. Services and education at the FRC enable families and individuals to regain control of their own futures.

Fremont Tri-City Breakfast Program
The Fremont Tri-City Breakfast Program helps support those living with food insecurity, including those living in poverty, the homeless, the working poot, and fixed income seniors, by providing hot, nutritious meals three times a week. Vector Laboratories volunteers came alongside by preparing and serving meals to those in need.

Newark Memorial High School
The Newark Memorial High School services nearly 1,700 students grades 9 through 12 In the Newark Unified School District. With a wide variety of clubs, athletic, and academic opportunities, the school provides a strong foundation from which students can build a strong academic future and career.

Newark Educational Foundation
The Newark Educational Foundation (NEF) raises and distributes funds to support Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math (STEAM) programs in the Newark Unified School District, Programs include provision for transportation costs and fess to attend science camps, rocketry competitions, and robotics competitions; support for instrument repair and allocation; and bend and drama opportunities. Each year, hundreds of students are helped via thousands of allocated dollars. All funds received go directly to programming, with no monies going to salaries for NEF board members.
