Carboxyrhodamine 110 DBCO
Carboxyrhodamine 110 DBCO is an azide reactive probe used for imaging azide-tagged biomolecules via a copper-free “click reaction”. DBCO moiety reacts with azides to form a stable triazole and does not require Cu-catalyst or elevated temperatures allowing detection of azide-tagged biomolecules under mild conditions. In application where the presence of copper is a concern Carboxyrhodamine110 DBCO is an ideal alternative to copper requiring fluorescent alkynes.
Carboxyrhodamine110, a non-sulfonated version of Alexa Fluor® 488, is a bright, and highly photostable, green-fluorescent probe optimally excited by the 488 nm laser line. Its absorption/emission spectra is a similar to those of DyLight® 488, Alexa Fluor® 488.
Carboxyrhodamine110 DBCO reagent is not suitable for staining intracellular components of fixed and permeabilized cells due to high backgrounds.
