Vector Laboratories is closed for the President’s Day on Monday, February 19th. We will be back in the office on Tuesday, February 20th.
We will respond to emails upon our return. Have a wonderful day.

Anti-Avidin/Streptavidin Reagents

Use Anti-Avidin or Anti-Streptavidin amplification reagents to increase sensitivity in streptavidin or avidin/biotin detection systems. Anti-avidin does not bind streptavidin, and anti-streptavidin does not recognize avidin. Avidin or streptavidin amplification reagents can amplify signals in many applications, including:

  • Immunohistochemistry
  • In situ hybridization
  • Microarray assays
  • ELISAs
  • Blots

Vector offers anti-avidin and anti-streptavidin antibodies in biotinylated, fluorophore-conjugated, or unconjugated formats. The biotinylated formats are unique in that they allow binding to streptavidin or avidin through both of their antigen-binding sites and the covalently-attached biotin residues.
