Inside Sales Specialist

Job Description

The Inside Sales Specialist will engage with customers and accounts via phone and email, uncovering new sales opportunities and following up on leads from the Marketing, Customer Service, and Technical Service departments. Inside Sales Specialists partner with Field Sales Representatives to facilitate Custom and OEM opportunities and other complex sales where a team effort is required, and serve as a key liaison between customers and team members in Marketing, R&D, Production, Customer Service, and Shipping.   • Work with various functions, including R&D, manufacturing, QC, customer service, technical support, etc. to develop, implement, and continuously improve the Quality Management System.

Quality Control Associate II

Job Description

Vector Laboratories is seeking to fill 2 Quality Control Associate II positions that are open on our team. This role is responsible for the analyses of in-process materials, raw materials, finished goods, and stability samples following established operating procedures. The individual may also be required to analyze samples from the research and development department using established testing procedures. The ideal candidate must have knowledge of QC experimental design and preparation and be able to independently implement routine and semi-routine procedural and process improvements in keeping with department and company objectives along with, a solid understanding of laboratory equipment operation with the ability to troubleshoot routine issues as needed. The QC Associate II works under general supervision on assigned tasks and can support training of junior staff. May also be responsible for organizing and maintaining laboratory reagents/supplies. This position typically works on semi routine projects requiring minimal supervision and may also be responsible for organizing and maintaining laboratory reagents/supplies.

Scientist, Glycobiology

Job Description

Vector Laboratories is seeking a product development scientist (Scientist) with experience in glycobiology to join our highly collaborative R&D team. The Scientist is responsible for developing novel reagents and tools to empower the investigation in the field of glycobiology and role of glycans in health and disease. The Scientist’s primary function is to work with our commercial team to identify customer needs, propose new products and develop products according to our established design control process. S/he will participate as an integral member of cross-functional design teams to bring products from inception to transfer to manufacturing to commercialization. Immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence reagents are the core Vector’s portfolio, as such, an understanding of tissue-based immunoassays is desirable. The Scientist will represent Vector when communicating with outside organizations and customers and attending conferences. The position mandates an individual have sound judgment, be self-motivated and capable of working independently and under pressure to meet company goals. Responsibilities

  • Packing and shipping of all shipments, both domestic and international
  • Responsible for making arrangements for pick up by the carrier specified on the customer’s purchase
  • Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department manager
  • Unpacks, examines and routes incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper or internal stakeholders to rectify damages and shortages
