Nine neoglycoproteins are available, each with a unique sugar attached to the protein. They are produced by coupling simple sugars to highly purified Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA).
Vector Laboratories has developed five Glycoprotein Eluting Solutions in the neutral pH range that maximize the yield of eluted glycoproteins and preserve the activity of the agarose-bound lectins for repeated use.
The lectin binds preferentially to oligosaccharides ending in galactose but may also interact with N-acetylgalactosamine. The reagent is supplied essentially free of unconjugated fluorochromes and inactive lectin. DyLight 594 Labeled Ricinus Communis Agglutinin I has an absorption maximum at about 592 nm and a maximum emission at about 617 nm.
Investigators have identified rapid degradation of injected tracers such as biocytin due to the presence of biotinidase activity in brain tissue. This loss of stability of the tracer significantly reduces the viable postinjection period and may compromise complete detection of a neural network. NEUROBIOTIN-Plus was designed to be impervious to cleavage and breakdown by biotinidase. This newly synthesized biotin-containing compound contains fixable amine groups, is highly soluble and has a low molecular weight. These characteristics make it an ideal candidate for experiments requiring long postinjection survival times and optimal uptake along the entire neural tract.
Similar in structure to NEUROBIOTIN 488, NEUROBIOTIN 350 is also an amine containing biotin derivative. However, it is conjugated with a bright blue fluorophore that would contrast with other green or red fluorescent markers or reagents present in the same preparation.
Previously only available with peroxidase, the ImmPRESS™ Reagent is
now also available with alkaline phosphatase as the detection system.
ImmPRESS™-AP Polymer Reagents provide greater sensitivity than
conventional alkaline phosphatase antibody conjugates and other alkaline
phosphatase detection reagents for immunohistochemistry and other
applications.
A Vector® M.O.M.™ Kit is now available containing our proprietary M.O.M.™ Mouse Ig Blocking Reagent paired with a specialized, highly sensitive, ready-to-use, one-step, non-biotin M.O.M.™ ImmPRESS™ peroxidase polymer reagent. Producing the same outstanding staining as the original M.O.M.™ Peroxidase Kit is now even easier using the M.O.M.™ ImmPRESS™ Peroxidase Polymer Kit.
WestVision™ Peroxidase Polymer antibody conjugates bind primary antibodies of mouse (WB-2000) or rabbit (WB-1000) origin with high affinity, producing sharp signal and low background in western blot detection.
WestVision™ Peroxidase Polymer antibody conjugates bind primary antibodies of mouse (WB-2000) or rabbit (WB-1000) origin with high affinity, producing sharp signal and low background in western blot detection.
Aleuria aurantia lectin binds preferentially to fucose linked (α -1,6) to N-acetylglucosamine or to fucose linked (α -1,3) to N-acetyllactosamine related structures. This lectin is conveniently labeled with fluorescein (ex 495nm; em 515 nm) for one-step fluorescent detection.
This is a convenient, ready-to-use (2.5%) preparation of normal goat serum that can be used for blocking non-specific binding in tissue staining or as an antibody diluent.
NEUROBIOTIN™ 488 Tracer is a tri-functional molecule designed for neuronal tracing and cell filling that contains a biotin label, a bright fluorophore (similar in fluorescence to fluorescein, Cy2 or Alexa Fluor 488), and a fixable primary amine.
Tomato lectin (from Lycopersicon esculentum) is an effective marker of blood vessels and microglial cells in rodents. Conjugation of the lectin with a DyLight 488 facilitates fast, one-step detection and visualization using intravascular perfusion methods or direct application to tissue sections.
Dinitrophenyl (DNP) is not found endogenously in tissues and is an excellent alternative to biotin for use in applications requiring biotin-free systems. DNP is smaller than other non-biotin alternatives and thus may allow better penetration of the probe in tissue applications. This anti-DNP antibody can be used to detect DNP in various applications.
ImmPACT™ DAB EqV (equal volume) consists of 200 ml each of Reagent 1 and Reagent 2 which when mixed together in equal volumes form the working solution. ImmPACT™ DAB EqV produces a dark brown reaction product that is 3 to 5 times more sensitive than the original DAB substrate.
BLOXALL™ Endogenous Peroxidase and Alkaline Phosphatase Blocking Solution is a dual enzyme blocking reagent that inactivates endogenous peroxidase, pseudoperoxidase, and alkaline phosphatase in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections, frozen tissue sections, and cell preparations in a single 10 minute incubation step. This reagent is provided as a ready-to-use reagent in a convenient dropper bottle.
