Mouse monoclonal antibody suitable for immunohistochemistry.
Functional Aspects:
Mucins are a family of glycoproteins synthesized and
secreted by glandular epithelial tissues. To date, nine distinct
epithelial mucin genes (Muc-1, 2, 3, 4, 5AC, 5B, 6, 7 and 8)
have been identified. Mucins display differential expression in
epithelia with cell-type specificity. Modifications in expression
levels and glycosylation patterns of mucins have been
described in several cancers.
