Mouse monoclonal antibody suitable for immunohistochemistry and western blotting.
Functional Aspects:
Apolipoprotein D is expressed in a range of normal tissues
including axillary apocrine glands, adrenal cortex, and corpus
luteum. Peripheral nerves, pituitary, testis, cerebellum, and
renal tubules are also positive. Apolipoprotein D expression has
been described in malignant prostatic glands but is absent in
the normal glands. It is also highly expressed in cyst fluid from
females with gross cystic disease of the breast and may be a
feature of some breast carcinomas. Clone 36C6 was raised
against full-length apolipoprotein D.
