Functional Aspects:
CD23 functions as a low affinity IgE receptor on B cells. It is
found on B lymphocytes, some peripheral blood cells, and on
EBV transformed B lymphoblastoid cell lines. Expression of
CD23 antigen has been reported on monocytes and dendritic
cells. Clone 1B12 was raised against the external domain of
CD23. Clone SP23 was raised against amino acids 48 – 248.
